Dividend Voucher Template UK

Dividend vouchers for UK companies. One per shareholder, per-share amounts calculated, distributable reserves confirmed, post-2016 format. From £4.99.

What is a Dividend Voucher?

A Dividend Voucher (also called a tax voucher) is the document a UK company issues to a shareholder when it pays a dividend. It records the date and amount of the dividend, the tax position, and the shareholder's entitlement — required by the shareholder for their own tax return.

When do you need one?

Every time a UK company pays a dividend, a voucher must be issued to each receiving shareholder. The voucher is the shareholder's evidence of the dividend received and the position on income tax. HMRC expects companies to produce vouchers on request as part of any enquiry.

What does it cover?

Company name and registration number, shareholder name and address, the class of shares the dividend relates to, the dividend rate per share, the total amount paid, the payment date, confirmation that distributable reserves were sufficient at the date of declaration (Companies Act 2006 Part 23), and the directors' confirmation.
